Meet Ivette Villarreal, M.S., CCC-SLP

My story

Hi, I'm Ivette Villarreal, a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist and the founder of Happy Talk Speech & Feeding Therapy, proudly serving families in San Antonio, Texas.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas at Austin and my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from UT Health Science Center San Antonio. As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, I have had the opportunity to work with children with a wide variety of diagnoses and developmental and medical needs.

I created Happy Talk Speech & Feeding Therapy with a heartfelt mission: to help as many families in San Antonio as possible with two of the most important parts of everyday life — communication and feeding. I believe every child deserves the opportunity to communicate their wants, needs, thoughts, and feelings, while also developing positive and safe feeding skills.

My approach is family-centered, compassionate, and functional. I believe therapy is most meaningful when skills can be carried over into everyday life. That's why I work closely with both children and their caregivers, providing education, strategies, and practical tools that empower families to feel confident supporting their child beyond the therapy session.

At Happy Talk, my goal is not only to help children make progress during therapy, but to empower families to recognize, support, and celebrate progress in their everyday lives.
